About

In 2010, designer Ellen Van Dusen launched Dusen Dusen, a womenswear line known for its bold, original prints on versatile, wearable silhouettes. Each season, the Dusen Dusen collection is developed and inspired by fine art, commercial and naïve design, as well as the brain's reaction to color, movement, and contrast. In 2015, the brand expanded with the launch of Dusen Dusen Home, a textile and home goods line that includes bedding, throws, pillows, and towels. Ellen Van Dusen was born and raised in Washington, DC and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her dog, Snips.

Care Instructions

Towels + Bathrobes: Gentle machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Do not bleach. New towels may lint at first, but will diminish after 1-2 washes. Avoid using cleaners that contain Benzoyl Peroxide Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy acids or Hydrogen Peroxide as these can cause color damage.

Bedding + Coverlets: Gentle machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Hot iron as needed. Bedding softens with every wash. Do not bleach. 


Dog Beds: We recommend spot cleaning, and this can be used on tougher stains. Wash bed cover alone and inside out in cold water. Hang to dry.  

Throws: Gentle machine wash cold, and tumble dry on low or air dry to best preserve the color, size and feel of your throw. Warm iron if needed. Do not bleach.

Pillows: Spot clean only with a damp white cloth, to avoid snagging the embroidery or staining the fabric. Air dry. We recommend this for tougher stains.

Dish Towels + Napkins: Gentle machine wash cold and tumble dry low.


Oven Mitts: Gentle machine wash cold, and short tumble dry on low.


Masks: Gentle machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Hot iron if needed, do not bleach.

Policies

SHIPPING

Once an order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number with shipping confirmation. If you do not receive a tracking number within 48 hrs, please check your spam folder before emailing us. For international orders, customers are responsible for all customs charges. Some of our smaller objects are not available for International Shipping, but if you order an eligible item and would like the smaller one to ship with it, please send us an email and we can help.

New York based customers can place orders to be picked up in-store at no extra charge. Please refer to your "ready for pick up" notification for our most up to date hours.

Domestic orders are still shipping with the possibility of slight delays. International shipping is operating with expected delays. 


RETURNS

All returns must be made within 2 weeks of receipt and in their original packaging. Items that have been worn or used are ineligible for return. To initiate a return, please email us with your order number and return tracking number. Please send package to the following address along with your original receipt:

Once it comes in, we will grant a refund in full excluding shipping costs. If it is worn or damaged we can either have it shipped back to you for a $10 fee, or you may forfeit the refund.



EXCHANGES

If you would like to swap an item from your order for another, please email us and we will generate a return label for you. We cover shipping costs on domestic exchanges. Exchange costs can only be covered once. We cannot cover exchange shipping costs on International Orders.


LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

Packages marked delivered via tracking but not received by the customer should be dealt with via the shipping carrier. In most cases, it is a tracking error and the shipment will arrive within the week. On occasion packages are picked up by others by mistake, stolen, or delivered to the wrong address. If this is the case, please contact us and we will help to find the package or take other steps on a case by case basis. If an item is returned to us because of an incomplete/incorrect address and it needs to be reshipped, we charge a $10 reshipping fee. Please ship your item to a safe and reliable location.


DAMAGED MERCHANDISE

In the event of a damaged or defective item please email us with an attached image of the damage/defect. We will send a return label for the item. Based on availability we will send out a replacement, issue store credit or a refund.


SALE ITEMS

Please note that all items on sale are final purchases. Items bought during a limited time promotion with a discount code may be returned within 2 weeks of receipt for store credit only. We cannot offer discounts retroactively, and discounts cannot be combined.
