Dusen Dusen x DDUGOFF
In 2017, Ellen collaborated with menswear brand, DDUGOFF. The two New York City based designers happened to go to high school together in Washington, DC, and came to the same career through different paths. The collection consists of five heavily patterned shirts in Dusen Dusen's signature prints applied to DDUGOFF's standard men's button-up. This project represents Dusen Dusen's first foray into menswear, and DDUGOFF's first brand collaboration. Spurred by a custom suit the pair created for Kyle Dixon of the band Survive, which he wore to the 2017 Grammys (where he was nominated for Best Score for his compositions for Stranger Things), the collection was released as a mid-summer capsule of wildly patterned men's tailored shirting. The lookbook features Ellen's own brothers and dad as models, shot in the house she grew up in.
